I'm looking for recommendations for a 1 click DVD copy software that works with both XP and Vista. I'm not looking for info about anything illegal or how to remove copyrights, I just want a really easy to use program to backup unprotected dvd's and cd's. My Dell desktop has Sonic Record Now when I bought it and it works fine and my Sony laptop has Roxio Media Creator and it also worked fine. Problem is both of those programs cost around $100 and I don't really wanna spend that much when I could easily just use those computers, this is just all about convenience. Thanks

I was using #1 DVD Ripper, and it worked very well.

I just recently purchased and recieved a Dell XPS m1330, and for some reason, #1 DVD Ripper keeps crashing on me, at the setting I want to use (avi) On other settings, it works, but produces either out of sync files (sound/video are not in sycn), or VERY poor quality files!

So, I'm also looking for a replacement, unless I hear back from #1 DVD Ripper's tech support with a solution.

You might give it a try and see if it works on your system. When it worked, it was sloooooow (6+ hours to rip a 2hour movie), but that might have more to do with my old laptop then the software, but it did produce excellent quality videos.

I would recommend DVDFab HD Decryptor, it does what you want and more. :)

Every (almost) DVD movie you buy is protected. Roxio should just work fine with unprotected DVD's and music CD's.

I use a combination of DVDFab HD Decryptor, VobBlanker, and DVD Shrink on Windows.

I use MactheRipper and Toast on Mac.

    Similar results.

Imgburn is a free DVD image burner. It supports several DVD image types; BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI. Most important feature, in my opinion, is it support unicode folder and file name. So if you have files that named in different languages, Imgburn will keep them the way they are.
