My eMachines came bundled with PowerDVD. Works pretty good. Doesn't 'stretch' picture to fill widescreen like some of the other progs.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

Power DVD, Interactual and Windows Media Player are excellent.

Intervideo sucks: However it could have been a combo of a shoddy product and a lower resolution screen (HP DV1k).

I have no experience in these programs but do these programs work? It would beat bringing a case of DVD movies onto a plane/train or automobile (Sounds like a movie, eh? Because it is):

Power DVD all the way, it has the best video and sound playback that I've seen, and believe me, working 6 months of overtime at night with nothing to do but watch movies and wait for the phone to ring gave me some time to try different progs.

Former Celeron 500mhz user, 192 meg ram, 6 gig hd, 8 meg ati video, hehe

yeah i will try power DVD since everyone seams to like it, i tried windows media player but for some reason it refused to recognise that i had a widescreen, when i maximised it it just stayed within the boarders of a regular screen (yes it was a widescreen movie) any help?
