I have several concert DVDs I'd like to convert to mp3 and audio CD so I can listen to it on my laptop and hi-fi. Is there any special software I can use to do this? Is it possible to convert individual songs rather than the whole DVD at once?

    Thanks for your input.

Yes you can do that. I use iTunes to do my converting - you can look at individual songs on the CD, and import them as pretty much any file type and bit rate that you want (MP3, AAC, etc - 128-bit, 256-bit, etc).

    It's free to download - www.itunes.com

I think he's burning from a DVD, though I'm not sure if it's DVD-Audio or a Video DVD of a concert. Try VideoHelp.com, they have just about everything you need to extract stuff off a DVD.

I'd agree about VideoHelp.com being useful for audio extraction. It will probably involve ripping the DVD to your hard drive and extracting the audio.
