    Hey everyone,

Just reinstalled my OS and programs and now I am having issues with Daemon Tools Lite. I have installed the latest versions (3 times) and tried to reinstall. It worked before and now it installs, then installs STP, then asks to restart. I restart and it just repeats the above, not moving on with the install. I have tried this in safe mode and it does the same. Any ideas? I need an ISO emulator, so I guess if this does not work, I will go hunt for another...

Dude, this post is totally against forum rules

@gangerald I'd try again but first wipe out any trace of previous installation including registry.

Do not suggest software piracy. Thanks.

To the OP: I would try again, following atthegates' advice.

Thank you for clearing that up. I have just used Registry Mechanic and searched for any remnants. Here goes another install, this time I will use an older version (4.10), maybe I can get lucky.

Well, I have isolated it to a SPTD installation error. For some reason it will not install. I have tried the standalone installer and it installs, restarts, and is not actually installed, just leaves some remnants.

OK this happened to me, but kill me, I can't remember how I fixed it..
I found this article though, it's for old version but check it out. The main idea is that you actually have the driver loaded but disabled. Ok I'm tired its 4:15am. Check it out :)

Thank you, I found this thread and used the autoruns solution to get it done, but both your article and the reg is supposed to work. I came up with an unbootable scenario which THANKFULLY vista repair CD fixed and booted up. So daemon is installed and the drama is over. Thank you everyone and I hope this helps someone in the future.
