I recently tried to install Damon Tools 4.0.3 on a new laptop w/ XP Pro SP2, but all it ended up doing w/ crashing and giving me sptd errors, which led to having to wipe the hard drive and doing another clean install.

I've poured over the D-Tools forums, but for the life of me can't figure out what exactly might be wrong. Is this a known problem, and is there anyway around it?

You could try Alcohol 120%. It does the same thing as Daemon.

Never had a problem w/ DeamonTools, but Nero also comes with a DeamonTools-like utility if you have it.
