I downloaded all my messages in Windows Mail, and now Yahoo! has removed them from my inbox. Over 1120 messages that I really enjoyed having in my Yahoo! mail are gone. I'm looking for a free Mail Forwarding program that will resend the e-mails with the original addresses. I've found a few, but when entering password information I'd like something I can trust.

    Any suggestions? Personal experience?

    Thanks,
    Peter

Edit: Yahoo! doesn't have an import feature, in case you were going to suggest that.

Hmmm...I've never used any forwarding program like that, but I don't really see how this is a problem with Windows mail. Every mail program out there defaults to yanking messages OFF the server. It's up to you to configure them if you want a copy left on the server.

Which forwarding programs are you trying to use? Someone here may have used one of the programs you're looking at.

Well, I found one called SpoofNSend at download.com, but I have no idea how to run it. It contains no executable.

Would it be possible to upload the messages to my FTP and write a PHP script to do this?

Switch to using IMAP instead of POP3. Problem solved. It's only when you use ancient, obsolete mail protocols that they do this. (Don't know whether Yahoo Mail support IMAP though. If not, time to find another email provider)

However, if you can use IMAP, re-uploading the messages should happen pretty much automatically, I believe. (since it synchronizes between your local mails and those on the server)

I don't know of any programs to resend your mails though
