I just ordered a G51JX-X2. I currently have a 750GB external HDD. I'd like to find a solution to (perhaps every evening) backup my "My Documents" folder to the XHDD. I know what I'd use in Linux (Rsync... and I guess I could use that with Cygwin, maybe), but I'm wondering what people like to use on Windows.

Basically, I want a program that will scan the local disc, look for changes, then copy the new/changed files to the XHDD. It would be nice if the program could shut the computer down when it's done, and/or run on a schedule. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Thanks, I'll look into those.

I used to use Live Sync, but I'm trying to move from two computers to one computer. It was really handy.

Yeah, Win 7's built-in backup program should be fine.

oh... I didn't know 7 had one built in. I used the RC for months, either it wasn't in there or I'm blind. I guess both options are possible, too. A simple search gave me all I should need.

    Thanks for the help.

I have been using a program called GoodSync for the last number of years with great success.
