I am looking for a decent File synchronization software, which would allow me to automatically synchronize files with a network drive. Important is that it is able to delete files from the destination folder if they have been deleted from the source folder and that it could automatically run when computer is in idle.
I was using one (can't really remember the name), which looked very nice, one could create different tasks with different synchronization options for each, BUT the free version would only allow to synchronize certain amount of data per month and it had some bugs as well.
Any suggestions (even for a paid program....)?

I believe Synctoy from Microsoft can do what you ask. Give it a try.

PureSync or SyncBack Free.

Paragon System Backup is the give away of the day atm.
Maybe give that a crack. -

I downloaded and installed Paragon System Backup, as well as SyncBack Free, but haven't tested them yet, as I'm not in the network with the network drive I wish to synchronize with.
Will give feedback in a few days. -
Else, Windows Live Mesh (part of Windows Live) installed on both computers could be an option - I'm not sure how much data you wish to shuffle around. -

First, I too highly recommend SyncToy.
However, it will not do an automatic backup as Gracy123 has requested.
But, I never recommend auto backup programs anyway - too many times they cause more harm than good.
A good manual sync (like SyncToy offers) of a known data state is the best option imo.
I thought Apple's Time Machine was awesome when it first hit the market - I have heard many stories of Mac users that didn't know all their data was gone (because there was no way to check...) until their Mac's crashed and they needed their backups.
I have not heard of anything more reliable than the Time Machine on the Windows side, so semi-manual it still is.
Good luck. -
Here's one that will do exactly as you want, though it's interface is kind of crude and I would test it for a while on an unimportant folder until you're sure it works: dsynchronize
Dimio's Tools
It works pretty well and has both a schedule as well as a realtime sync mode--pretty cool, really. Just a little crude
Data Synchronization software ?
