well, if you can't copy it normally, meaning using copy paste option, then i am not sure, if you can install the game using the cd at all. of course there are programs which can copy damaged cds by skipping damaged sections. but incase of game installation, if you miss any file the installation process won't complete. if you won the game, you can contact EA games and ask them if they can send you a replacement disk. or if you know some one own the game, you can make a copy of the game and use your cdkey during installaiton.

Well dending on where you live you can take it to a music store and get it buffed out for like $3. There is also a "Game or disc doctor" which is usually sold at Best Buy and is like $30 but does like 50 CD's or the like.

You can try making an ISO image of the disc by using Alcohol 120%, which is free for trial version, which might read the damaged area.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi uju32,

As far as I know you shouldn't use windows methods to access the disc. There are special tools that can read even from very bad discs. Make an ISO and then burn it to another disc.

    Otherwise check this:

    http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/cd-recovery.html

    etc...

I used to know this program that could do it, but unfortunately I forgot its name.

Hope it helps to start with the recovery,

CDCheck - might be a useful too... a friend had some luck with it extracting files from a damaged game disk, but I've never tried it myself.

    good luck
