Hey guys. I just have a quick question for you pros here.
Whenever I click on my computer or my documents, the size of the window showing up is never maximized. Does anyone know how to set the default setting to maximize the windows?
Thank you in advance.![]()

You don't say which Windows you have, but this has worked for me from 3.0 to XP. Just close the window while it's maximized and next time you open it it should be maximized. Simple. PS, any size (and position) a window is in will usually be remembered.

How about...
Create a shortcut to My Computer and My Documents on your desktop. Right-click each, select Properties and then change Run to Maximized. Click OK (for both), delete the shortcuts, you might be in business. I haven't tested this thoroughly. -

There's an easier way to maximize windows --- or to set them at any other size you want. Just open the window in question, put your cursor on one of the 4 sides of the window page, and drag it out to the edge of the screen (or to any location you want) Then do the same for the other 3 sides. After you have drawn all 4 sides out to the edges of your computer, when you close that screen and reopen it, it will reopen to a maximized size. Occasionally you may have to repeat this process a time or two, but Vista + Windows 7 are programmed to remember the new size.
