After dual booting with Vista+w7 for a while I have decided to completely remove the partition with Vista on it and merge it with the w7 partition. However I cant do this as apparently its a "system" partition. Whats the correct way to remove this Vista partition?

wait until windows 7 is released officially. rumours are that you will (should do anyway) have to do a clean install, microsoft are not recommending that you upgrade a beta. at that time you can delete and resize your harddisk when you reload. if you need the space just remove the big folders manually from vista. i assume you are dual booting from vista with vista on first. it can be removed (google) to leave only windows 7. you will have to edit the boot files manually. if you are not confident to do it then leave it alone. like i said, better to wait.

It is not complicated. The problem we have is that we are dealing with a beta OS.

    cheers ...

You could buy another hard drive--you can get a 320gb 7200 for about $50 and put 7 on that keeping the original as a backup.
