I dragged disk clean up and the character map from the the system tools menu to my desktop, then later deleted them.

Now I can't find either on the programs menu. I can run disk clean up from properties of the disk, but have no clue where the character map is or how to create another short cut for disk cleanup, or better still put both back to their original location.

    What say you?

Find this in the Windows folder and create a shortcut from them, then rename:

    system32\charmap.exe

    system32\cleanmgr.exe

OK, I found the file name charmap.exe and located it in systems32 and last good, was able to open it in last good and but know little about adding or removing windows components from the add/remove.

Should I unchecked all others and just leave character map checked to get it back, or just highlight it?

    Edit: I'll try the above.

OK... Now that I have the short cuts on my desktop back, how would I but them back in the proper place on the program menu?

Never mind I figured it out. The simplest things...
