    Dell D400 X Vista

    Hi,

    I have a Dell Latitude D400 with 1.4Ghz Pentim M and 1GB RAM, and I think about migrate to Win Vista. This possible? My hardware support the Vista with aero and visual effects?

    Why? Your hardware does not support aero.

    But don't work Vista too or something the Aero and visual effects?

    i would personally check out that u have the necessary drivers under vista before migration.

    and other than not been able to run aero, ur system specs can run vista just fine.

    You'll be able to run Vista (and not too badly as far as performance goes), but you won't be able to run Aero. In order to run Aero, you'll need at least an Intel GMA950, which is the current generation Intel graphics offering. Your D400 has the Intel Extreme Graphics 2, which is two generations old.

    I installed the Vista in my laptop and it work's fine, but the aero don't be able.
