    Hello,

I just reinstalled My vostro with Vista Home Premium. Everything worked perfectly until I pressed DellMedia Direct button. I get this message:

Dell MediaDirect Express cannot access your hard drive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft BitLocker (Drive Encryption). MediaDirect Express is not accessfible when Microsoft Bitlocker is enabled.

Well, I never like Dell. But I can't go back to Vista OS anymore!!! When I turn off from DellMedia Direct OS. Every time I press power button, dellMedia loads. Wow, I'm really pissed of at Dell because I can't even get into my OS because of their stupid program that nobody uses.

    Help Please!

Do a search on this forum before trying this, since I do not remember if it's the right approach to solving your problem.

It seems that MD has fiddled with your partition table. A way to get the Vista bootloader back should be (but do a search to verify this) to pop in the vista installation disk and do a fixmbr. This will rewrite the first sector of the hard disk.
You might also want to back up the mbr by using a linux live CD (again a search in google will show you how to use the dd command to do that).

If you don’t mind loosing MD, then you can repair Vista boot record by booting with Vista DVD > Repair Your computer > Select the Vista Installation > Startup repair.
