Im wondering because my friend got a new dell dimension wit Media Center, but the computer is buggy alreaady. I want to reformat it, but the dimensions do not come with the OS cd. When I got my dell XPS laptop, it came with Media Center as well, and came with the CD> Question is, can the Media Center OS CD I have, be installed on the desktop when reformatting?

    Thanks

Since Dell have already put the serial number on your desktop, which means you dont have to enter any serial number upon installation, I dont see why not.
