I wasn't sure where to put this, and I couldn't seem to find a similar thread.

I know this is a common software-hardware problem, and I'm trying to find a fix. My friend just recently bought a Inspiron notebook and I have my XPS. When we video chat, both cams work, but only her audio works. I know this isn't actually my fault, because anyone else who video cams with her gets the same thing-- so it's on her side, but I'm going to be the one who fixes it once someone can help me identify the issue. Again, both laptops are using integrated mics and cams.

I checked the Hardware/Sound settings as well as the MSN Audio and Video Wizard, but I can't seem to find the solution.

I have the same problem with my Dell Inspiron 531s. Everytime I try to video chat (msn) with my boyfriend who recently bought a HP laptop with mic and cam built in, i can see him, but i can hear him, he can't see me, but he can hear me. I don't know if this a problem of compatibility, but it really gets on my nerves. I hope someone can help me.
