Ok. I bought the Dell XPS m1730 about a year ago. It is on Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

I bought a Windows 7 professional 64-bit upgrade package today (online purchase) and downloaded an ISO file of it.

I'm COMPLETELY "noob" with doing a clean install and I know that's what I have to do here. I want to do keep everything in RAID0 too.

I have files like Dell Support Center and Roxio Creator that came with this laptop which I use, how do I keep these after I do the new install?

Also, Dell has given this laptop a 10Gb partition titiled as "Recovery", and I know that I can click on this and restore it to the exact same way it was when I first bought it. Can I make such a partition like the new install?

    Thanks.

better read up on what raid0 really is and is not. There are threads here and all over the web.

Reading 'complete n00b' and 'raid0' in the same sentence I see nothing but sadness and frustration in your future.

^ Hmm, yeah I know what everything is. I just don't know how to keep things the way they are afterwards.

Or how do check what drivers I have and do a clean install.
