Ok, first off let me say that I feel really stupid…

I have forgotten a really simple task. The fonts on my desktop icons do not completely appear. If the name is too long, it has been shortened and a … appears at the end. How do I change that so that the full name is showing?

    Thank you.

You shouldn't feel stupid...this is not exactly on page 1 of the Windows user manual...although you should say VISTA or XP (or Windows 7)

    Vista
Right click the desktop, choose PERSONALIZE choose WINDOWS COLORS AND APPEARANCE, choose OPEN CLASSIC APPEARANCE....click the ADVANCED BUTTON, then navigate to ICON SPACING

You have to adjust HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL or BOTH depending on your Icon titles

Thank you very much. Sorry, I failed to mention I am on Vista.
