I definitely downloaded on my desktop here at home. However, I think I am going to stick with Opera as my default at home and work. The speed (for me, with no tweaking) is definitely better in Opera. I am not really concerned with mem usage, but Opera wins in that too. I have always liked FF's nice streamlined UI, and it is extremely customizable...even more than I remember.

If you use WinME i suggest you use Linux instead, the guys in the Linux forum will help you get started and it'll be much faster/safer than WinMe. ;)

I downloaded it yesterday, i also updated it with Ubuntu update manager.

    1) at work
    2) laptop (OS partition)
    3) laptop (Win XP partition)
    4) wife's laptop

    oh, and I love it!

I think that only direct downloads counted towards the record; update manager and ftp didn't (as far as I understand).

Yes. It seems good. No complaints so far, but I don't use too many add ons for it. One problem I did have was that the first time I downloaded it I got a corrupt file. Tried downloading it a second time and things were fine.

Same Here! I was originally opposed to using something non microsoft (imagine that) and i found that it was pretty good after having someone introduce me to it. Been with FF since 1.0. FF3 is by far the best and I have not been disappointed with it yet.

I'll get it at some point. I installed Firefox 2 on FF3 release day for testing purposes. But the whole download record thing just seemed too gimmicky, especially since I never had heard what the previous record was. And Opera's 9.5 release the week gave me the fast new web-browseriness this month begged for. I did look over the feature list of FF3, but nothing seemed that compelling, so I figured why not save it for sometime when I'm bored and can't think of anything else to do than try out some tech item?

It's kind of like how it took more than a year of having high-speed Internet before I ever got XP SP2, only it's a reversible change so it'll probably happen sooner than that.

...lol...still using V 1.0.7...never cared too much for the later versions...but then again i use opera for most of my browsing...yeah...older version too...9.0.2...maybe it's just me...but it seems with every upgrade...browser versions just get more bloated with features useless to me...

Downloaded, installed, tried it, hated it. It messed up IE7. Some functions of IE7 stopped working such as links wouldn't open in a new window. MSNBC video wouldn't load. Some sites the password submit icon won't work. It's a bit faster but if it can't do the hype then it's basically useless.

i am testing Firefox 3 during these days. this new version tends to display websites slightly different from Firefox 2. That's because it is using the most recent html version. For instance I had to reduce the font size in my blog. apart from this i love its new features. i didnt see a lot of difference in its load time. it looks like it is less cpu hungry. the overall effect is good anyway

My IE7 stopped working. It never even crossed my mind that this might be related to FF3. I will need to check it out.
