Either my eyes need to be checked or its true, but I saw a picture of the HP Envy, and it had a different windows 7 skin.

The menu does look different.

I think it's ugly
(not the laptop, just the skin).
but i'm interested if they get that skin certified, so we could finally develop skins that don't need hacking of system files. -
I much prefer the default theme over that. The skin also looks like there is no Aero, which is a rather large turn off for me. -
The skin/theme is ugly indeed.
I hope someone come with a better theme ^^! XP theme sucks for me.
Vista's, LOL, I always tweak it to use 7 theme.
Now, using Windows 7 and it is Windows 7 Aero theme. Feel grateful. LOL. -

looks nice, have to test that out laters (holidays next week, time to test
)
to mtarm1: you have no clue...
the new taskbar is, especially in old style mode, a huge back step to the vista style in usability, readability, contrast, etc. i talked about that very often and won't repeat it. and i won't use the new-style mode as it's a usability nightmare that makes no sense. i have to try to contact microsoft one day for this, lets see..
edit: the only thing missing then is the big previews i can have in vista (thanks to a tweak) -
Doesn't WindowBlinds do all sorts of Windows XP+ skinning?
-

yep, but it's sort of using a hammer for everything.
getting non-zertified skins working is actually very easy, and windowblinds is just so much more (and most of that unneeded bloat)..
so i prefer to just get a skin, and don't touch the rest of the os. problem is, microsoft doesn't allow non-certified skins (as they could be buggy, and have a bug that prevents you from being able to change it back again, then), so some patching is required.
Different skin in Windows 7?
