Hey folks, I recently bought a Dell Vostro 3450 and wiped out the recovery partition and clean installed Windows 7 Professional. Everything seems to be up and running but for the finger print reader. Dell's recovery disks have the driver for the finger print reader but not the Digital Persona Software required to actually use the finger print reader. I found different versions of Digital Persona 4.xx but I can't get them to install on my laptop. I believe I need Digital Persona 5.0.2. Does anyone with a Vostro 3x50 have a copy?

    Thanks!

    Have you looked at this:
    Drivers and Downloads

It's a 34MB download. It can't be just the driver for the fingerprint, though the description isn't very detailed.

I sure did, I even downloaded the file that you have linked and tried to install it without success. As I mentioned in the first post, I need Digital Persona V 5.0.2. The file that you linked on Dell's drivers & downloads page is V 4.3.33.0.

Too bad it doesn't work with Firefox 9 or Chrome. It's also impossible to get it off your log on screen even if you don't have a password set.

    Otherwise, it great!

Hi azrash. I just registered in this forum so I can't send PMs. I have a Vostro 3750 and have the same problem as martiansoldier. I was wondering if you could also provide me the installer for DigitalPersona 5.0.2. Thanks in advance!
