What interests me though, if they are already included, why is it when I run any app in Steam or install an Origin for PC game, it installs DirectX again, this is very stupid on their part to be reinstalling DirectX for every game

how did you install that game?

As I just mentioned, for me, every time I try to run a Steam game for the first time, I see "installing DirectX" dialogue so it should have installed the right version although I am not sure how you installed the game anyway

Maybe you can install Steam, then buy 3DMark or 3DMark11, that way, when you run it for the first time, it would install DirectX 11 again. Or maybe the demo could achieve this as well.

Just run the DirectX web installer.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

That should update anything that is broken when it comes to DirectX caused issues.

What I really would focus on is your drivers. Completely uninstall them with DDU and reinstall them. That fixes more issues with that game than anything else.

Since I don't see your system specs, it would help to know if you have Optimus or Enduro, nvidia or AMD... Your best bet may just be to remove and reinstall the game if the other two fixes do not work.

I think it's because some games need very specific versions of DirectX runtime files in order to work. It would be nice if whatever came pre-installed with Windows was backwards compatible across the board, but that's not how it rolls.

Those install DX9 cause none of the Win OS comes with it by default.

The DLL Hell caused from some many variants of DX9 is the reason why they no longer offer a redist for the newer directx.

Also, these variants are not backward compatible.

Thanks for all the replies guyz.. Fixed the problem.. As what @Phoenix said that he must reinstall directx again everytime a new game is played, it actually happened to me but I skipped that part because I thought directx 12 is better.. LOL
What I did was I went to the dragon age folder and looked for the directx program and installed it.. now all sorted.. Thanks again everyone..
