    Hi to all,

I installed Windows 7 (32 Bit) about a month ago on my HP Pavilion dv8320us laptop, and the experience has been excellent. All works faster than Vista and I like it very much.

The only issue is about the screen dimming on my external Monitor, a 22 inch Samsung T260. Every time something in the screen (video, document, images) has a lot of black colors, the screen gets dim. This is very annoying, specially when watching videos on dark scenes.

I turned off the screen dimmer in the power options, and set my energy plan to high performance, but the issue is still present.

PD: My Video Card it's a Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 with 256 Mb

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance

That sounds like a feature of the monitor itself, not from within Windows.

Windows can't even control monitors like that unless its a laptop monitor I believe.

Senpai is right , Samsung Monitors have a feature called Dynamic Brightness and color control .. Disable it from OSD menu in Monitor itself ;)
