The Detroit Free Press has this retarded video player on some of their webpages...for instance visit the following:
    http://www.freep.com/article/20110711/SPORTS02/107110413/Brandon-Inge-needs-produce-Jim-Leyland-will-make-adjustments-?odyssey=mod|mostview

It will start playing some FIBA video that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. How to disable this? I've tried to right-click and use Adblock but there wasn't an option to do so.

I was hoping for not such a widespread solution...but flashblock is working just fine. Thanks. :) +rep

looking at that page in firefox, i viewed "page info" and found the media object. then just added a ban for it in adblock:

    http://static.eplayer.performgroup.com/ptvFlash/eplayer2/Eplayer.swf

    no more video. :)

Man that's annoying. I have no idea why websites (especially the big ones) do this to their visitors. What ever happen to lean, fast, un-bloated designs? Or did that fall out of style?

Thanks so much Prime! That's what I was looking for. +rep!

Ya that's very very annoying..lol. I mean if it was related to the webpage maybe I could overlook it. But FIBA? ... Seriously? Or at the very least, give me an option to stop it!
