Defrag. I suggest Advanced Windows Care personal, it should fix a multitude of problems from registry to decent spyware protection and helps you manage other things.

I am not a highly trained paramedic, let alone a Dr. however...

If you call the Hotline (usually found on patients' paperwork... err birthcertificate) , they can diagnose the disease(s) and can show you how to revive it. If you have proper insurance (sometimes called Complete Care) they may immediately send out a paramedic or in some cases send out an ambulance to take the unit quickly to a Hospital, where, rest assured it will be completely cared for. Problems corrected and 'bad parts' replaced with 'new parts'.

    :)

Defrag, if you haven't yet. This could be disk overload or a memory leak in some program. What kind of memory load are you seeing? What programs typically run with Windows? Have you scanned w/ security software.

I second Advanced Windows Care, and definitely defrag. You can run a checkup on hardware as well, but I'd see if the other solutions clear things up. Sometimes new computers can be a little sluggish after everything is installed.
