Is there any way to get the Disk Defragmenter in Windows Vista Home Premium to defragment the disk showing the little blocks shown in older versions of Windows?

Not to my knowledge. They did away with the graphical interface with Vista.

There's something perversely ironic about that.

If you want a light and powerful, free disk defragger, look for UltraDefrag on Google.

I just found out last night that Vaio's come equipped with a home version of Diskeeper, a very good defragger.

does the auslogics defragger defragment the MFT tables? or is it merely a faster version of the one built into vista.

i want one that not only reorganizes the fragments, but elmininates useless ones like diskeeper.
