    Do I need to have sp2 installed first in order to install sp3?

    I just downgraded my computer from vista to xp with a very old disc that came only with sp1. If I want to update to sp3, do I have to update it to sp2 first?

    SP1 is the minimum requirement for SP3. You should be fine; SP2 not needed.

    yes it's fine. i'm gonna downgrade from Vista to XP now as well. I'm sick of Vista's slowness no matter what tweaks I do, and I have a good system

    What do you mean by slowness? Booting, shutoff, running applications, network activity?

    I have tried the tweaks and hasn't changed anything but Vista still offer much more features than XP, though.
