Do Sager Resellers (or safer themselves) test/benchmark your laptop without a purchased OS?

I already have a Windows 7 and don't want 8. So if I order a notebook from one of the Sager resellers, does anybody actually install windows, make sure everything works, sans then just format? I am ordering a dual GPU probably so I want to make sure they checked every card. Thanks.

I guess it would depend on the reseller.

MYTHLOGIC does. They're not a Sager reseller, but rather a builder. They source the same system shells that Sager does but do all the assembly, testing and warranty support in-house. As such, they're a bit pricier than, say XoticPC, but the attention to detail they lavish on their machines is well worth the cost.

Most of them will network boot your machine to make sure it's up to snuff, but Mythlogic will specifically do benchmarks and pretty much anything else you ask to it.

Also, if you have a valid OS key that won't require a phone activation, I bet they'd be happy to install it for you.

These companies are very competitve, I am sure you are paying a considerable amount for your machine so I would contact the reseller you have in mind and tell them what you want done (after getting their best price of course)

I know xotic has a specific benchmark/stress test that they do to all sager pc's.

Phase 2 (Sager Assembly, Technical Analysis, Stress Testing & QA) (For Sager Systems Only)
A special component bin has been assigned for your order at Sager. The parts & custom materials needed for your system have been sent to be pulled from inventory & placed in your bin. Your order is now placed into one of Sager’s specialized test benches in Sager’s production department. A dedicated Sager Technician will carefully complete the requested customizations for your order. Sager will install testing, benchmark utilities & burn-in software necessary to scrupulously monitor your system’s performance throughout the testing & burn-in process. Afterwards, Sager performs a series of torturous tests that push the hardware components in your system to the very limit. Your system is also undergoing a very thorough quality control analysis to identify any issues that may not have been caught during stress testing. A Sager Quality Assurance Inspector is meticulously inspecting your machine, confirming the configuration & any special requests on your order, double checking the tests / benchmark results & checking over the system with a fine tooth comb.

So wait, that's safer that does it, not the reseller correct? I I just don't want any hardware faults in my notebook the first day I get it...

They have a testing procedure as well, but yes if reading that correctly as Sager technician does a burn in. I highly doubt you'll have any faults coming from any of the major resellers, as they all have testing protocols and great track records of delivering well running systems.
