Hi.
We need a area for vista problems, drivers, utils that are vista compatiable.
As their is quite a difference between Xp and Vista.
thanks
John.

Nope, over the next year to eighteen months the XP section will look like the Windows/2000 section does today.

No, for several reasons:
1) Having too many sub-forums results in some sub-forums going unread by users
2) Topics regarding Vista are well within the Windows OS forum scope. If anything, XP should be placed into a subforum as it will be the more obscure OS. -
Is there someone that feels their question is not being answered? I tend to think this is a very high traffic forum. Most every thread at least gets one reply. Plus, I'd say 65-70 percent of threads are about Vista, so I almost agree with bc135.
If it isn't broke, there is really no need to fix it. -
I have another suggestion.
I suggest NBR add "post icons option" to this forum.
Just like the flag icons in "What Notebook Should I Buy? " forum.
members can choose xp or vista icon for their new topics.
It would be better than open a new subforum. -
I agree, let's leave it as is. There are some sub forums in here that I like but because I have to click my way through them I find they are responded to less often.
In fact! Let's divest some forums. Merge Windows with the Graphics forum anyone? -
Forums evolve over time. This one is in transition between XP and Vista. It'll sort itself out after a while. There is no need to complicate things by creating sub-forums for every category.
Besides, Vista is the latest Windows OS so it wouldn't make sense to put it in a sub-forum. -

Most people post XP or Vista in their first post anyways, so it's not a big deal. -
We have just enough subforums as it stands. As vista picks up sp1, and moves on to being the "star of the show" you will see less issues. Matter of fact, more people are happy now than they have ever been.
I say keep things as they are... I don't want to be bouncing about a bunch of subforms anyway... -
This has already been discussed at least twice that I can recall. Both times it was shot down.
