The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I never saw WEI as a useful statistic about how well a computer runs anyway (still have it since I haven't "upgraded" yet). Too vague about performance and better results could be given with other free software floating out on the Internet.

WEI on some computer is need to get Aero to properly work...WEI doesn't give anything other then the test it runs and that doesn't mean your system will do like that but that test just tell you it capabilities. It's your CPU, Memory, and GPU that in the end will show what performance it has. But as stated some hardware if you want Aero will need WEI to be run to work properly even if you just surf the net.
