Im not sure if I trust big brother and Cortana haha. No seriously I just dont know, does it really help?

I hated Siri (Silly) when I had a loan phone a while back, but maybe that was just Siri.

If you do use it, what is the benefits you find from using it?

I hate ANY personal assistants, be it a phone or a computer, they're just useless and never understand me.

Other than telling me what's the weather today, it rarely works. I can find the stuff and / or do that stuff I need myself.

Any personal assistant from Google, to Bixby, to Cortana gets disabled instantly the moment I lay my hands on a device.

I found Cortana to be completely and utterly useless. There's literally not a single feature I have found that both (a) could conceivably be useful, and (b) actually works.

It fits well with an OS that's optimized for finding cute kittens on the internet, though.

    I don't use Cortana, but that's because I don't use Windows 10. :p

In general I don't really like or use assistants. I understand they are useful, especially for those with disabilities or in situations where your hands aren't free (driving, cooking, etc.), but I prefer to do as much as I can manually.

It would probably benefit those with disabilities more then those without but whom should have it. That given that it works correctly or doesn't become big brother then the help it gives will benefit those that needs the help.

I don't see any tangible benefit of using Cortana, and "performance" is sub-par (even considering par is pretty low). The again, I also think Google search has been dumbed down to such an amazing level...

Best quote I've seen in a long time!

Completely reminds me of someone I used to work with. Before she retired she showed me her huge, years-of-work 'database' of cute kitties from the internet.
    Salary well spent!

It's the very first thing I delete\remove\exterminate when doing any w10 test installs.

I tend to use Siri for hands-free phone operation while I drive, but otherwise I'm not really a big fan of these sort of these sort of programs.

Cortana, I just remove the UI elements and use the clean install guide here on NBR when doing that, but otherwise I don't do anything with it or do much else to remove it.

I changed the registry to stop Cortana a while back, but I can still see her in my running processes (Task Manager) using around 50mb of ram. What's up with that?

I don't use voice assistants for privacy reasons. I'd love to use one, though - if it was a quality open-source alternative which doesn't rely on cloud.

The one and only thing cuter than kittens on the internet is kittens in real, so I find Windows 10 exceptionally productive and well-optimized OS.
