Hi, I went on the intel website to get the latest intel matrix storage manager drivers and I noticed that they have a download called 64 bit floppy configuration utility that pre installed the RAID drivers during windows setup and one must pres f6 to install these.
Now what I was wondering was if you were installing Vista 64bit yourself (the original disk, no OEM version) would these drivers be already be installed with the installation or would one have to press f6 and install the RAID drivers with windows? Also, I remember XP installation prompting you to press f6 to install any pre windows installation drivers but I don't recall seeing Vista with this message. Does vista have the facility?
For reference, here is the intel website I went to http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...ndows+Vista*+64&lang=eng&strOSs=150&submit=Go!

Vista should install them by default. But if you wish you can install the latest drivers before the OS installation from a USB drive.

Well when I try to run Intel Matrix Storage Console I get a message saying 'the RAID driver is not properly installed'. Could it be Vista not installing it properly on its own and that I should try the latest drivers on their site?

Ok, I have tried to install the pre-windows intel matrix storage installation drivers however whenever I use the feature to load the drivers up, windows then reads my 320gb hard drive as something to the likes of a 600gb hard drive and then tells me it failed to create the partition to install.
Anyone have any advice on this matter?
Does Intel Matrix Storage RAID Driver install automatically with Vista 64?
