Does anyone know a program that renames MP3 files to their ID3 tags? I have tons of MP3 files with numbers as file names but correct ID3 tags. Are there any programs that will change the MP3 file name to the song name in the ID3 tag?

I use The Godfather sometimes but just about any tag editor or many renamers can do it. I have a renamer called 'THE Rename' that can.

Tag N Rename is the best for this job, but it's not free, it will rename your whole mp3 folder's id tags as per the file name ;) and can tag multiple tags at once with whatever info u enter. like genre or artist name for example

I will give that a try soon as I get back.

I will try that too. I just need to change the .MP3 file names only. The ID3 tags are perfect.

Thanks. I'll tell you all how it goes.

You can also use the audio player Foobar2000 to rename files by ID3 tags.

I ended up throwing a dart and tried foobar. It solved my dilemma. Thanks for everyones input. For anyone looking to do the same in the future make sure you enable/install file operations during the program install. You need to enable that to rename batches of MP3's.
