I want to label and organize my sound libraries.

Let's say I have 100 files in 1 folder, all mislabelled and I want to label simultaneously, is there software that can do this?

    For example:
    1. Sample 1
    2. Sample 2
    3. Sample 3
    etc...

I have thousands of audio files I want to organize and label properly, but without software to assist, it would take me quite a long time to label it all individually.

    Thanks :)

For Audio files, try a program called MP3Tag, it allows batch/bulk file renaming if i remember.

Adobe Bridge can do it also but its not free.

I've used Renamer succesfully. It isn't restricted to mp3 files but it can rename all file types with same efficiency.

Windows will do it for free. Just use rename and highlight all the files in the directory, (or just the files you want to rename) and do it. Windows will rename them sequentially for you. It adds a sequential number after each file with the same name preceding the number like your example.

You guys are awesome - thanks!

Also, thank you for moving my post - if you hadn't, then it would of never been answered in the OT section since it fell to the second page :p Totally forgot about the software section.
