    Pathetic UI in question:

First off, you can't change any of the EQ settings when there's no audio playing.
When there is, then it looks like:
    play.PNG
The sickening part is how every time you click on any of the bars to change them, it jumps wildly. But then the values aren't even set properly.
If you drag one up, it'll jump to the top, then slowly float down to only be a couple of levels higher than where it was.
    Completely counter-intuitive input feedback.

What is so infuriating is that this is the newest version that Dolby has to offer and the last one looked like this:
which looks a helluva lot more usable and sensible.

Anyways, I couldn't find a EQ for windows, nor could I 'downgrade' to V4.
    Any ideas?

I switched out for Razer Surround. Oddly Dolby actually came with my Razer Blade and broke with a realtek driver update. It wasn't even a real technical issue, it was a licensing thing that tied it to a specific realtek driver version. The driver even came from windows update, I didn't even go seeking it out myself.

I just uninstalled it and use RS, is working well. Glad to be rid of it.

Just keep in mind that if you want the EQ and other additional features of Razer Surround, you have to pay $20 for the Pro version. The free version only gives you access to virtual 7.1 surround using the stock calibration.

Is Razor Surround exclusive for Razor laptops? Y50 uses this DD+ joke of a software and of course Lenovo did not provide W10 compatible version of it so I was wondering if we can use Razor's software instead.

Razer Surround works with all PCs. You just need a stereo headphone. No idea if it'll work in Windows 10 yet, only Windows 7 and 8 are officially supported for now. The free version of Razer Surround gives you limited access to its features. You need to pony up $20 for the full package.
