    Downgradeable Vista to XP , possible back to Vista ?

    I bought a laptop that had Vista installed but I have a DVD to downgrade to XP , can I upgrade back to Vista or is this 1 way traffic ?

    As far as I am aware you can go back to Vista :)
    You only have to completely remove the XP install.

    You can restore windows Vista from the recovery partition. That will get rid of windows xp as well as all of your data.

    ???? which makes no sense - you did what happened to me too - didn't read it properly - you mean he can restore Vista from the recovery partition - that is correct as long as you leave it intact during your XP installation.

    Or first burn recovery discs in Vista :)

    Unless he removed that recovery partition during install of XP
