Hi Guys, where can i download Windows XP Media Center 2005? I have a valid S/N for XP Media Center 2005, but i need to download it to a CD, or DVD and do a clean install on a Toshiba Qosmio. I am going to be buying two new 60Gb Hard drives. I do not have the recovery CDs that came with the computer. Can i download it from like limewire or bit torrents and use the legal S/N? Will this work? Thanks.. :)

Do not, and I do mean - Do not download it through torrents.

    1. It is illegal to discuss all this on NBR.
    2. The torrent uploaders do not have a license or authority from MS to upload windows, so it'll be considered as piracy !!
    3. You don't know what sort of trojan or keylogger has been inserted into the ISO, making it difficult for you to diagnose it, and making it easy for the uploader to steal your personal info/identity.

Try to buy an unlicensed disc from Windows MarketPlace, or similar.

1.) Downloading an OS from any sort of P2P is a very bad idea to put it lightly.
2.) Discussing the use of P2P to download such an application is a nono on NBR forums(Yes even tho you have a valid SN and no mal intent). Thus the reason you're not likely to get a solid answer.

The best way to get the XP MCE disk to to contact HP and just order the recovery disks. I believe they are only $30ish and are great if you ever have a problem in the future.

Yeah, as soon as you mentioned torrents...thread closed.

You need to contact HP for this one.
