I've been trying to install a piece of software but it keeps giving me this error that it cannot register a particular .dll in the downloaded program files folder. I downloaded the .dll and tried to manually put it there but it seems that the folder is locked or something, it's weird. Has no option to gain access or anything....... it has the "e" internet explorer logo on it.........

    anyone have any ideas?

    thanks

You usually cant transfer programs through the Program Files folder, without actually installing them, that may be your problem.

Make sure that the folder isnt open and no files inside are being used by another process/program.
Try ending all unnesisary processes in task manager and try again.

Well, the installation program itself cannot register the .dll which is why I tried to manually do it.

I just tried to do it in safe-mode which was also didn't work.

Try going to regedit (after uninstalling program) , then find

    Tcp1323Opts
    TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions
    TcpWindowSize
    GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize

These should be in the folder HKEY Local machine > System > Controlset001 > Services>TCPIP>Parameters

Delete These Registry Files, and restart. Then try installing Vodafone Mobile Connect again. Tell me if this works. :)

Try THIS program. It is supposed to detect dwusplay.dll errors.

Try taking the Folder of the program and copy/pasting it to the ddesktop. The delete the old one in C/Win./downloaded program files/

    Then try installin again.

Is this error while you are installing or afterwards trying to use it?
