i recently got my M60 and i am trying to avoid all programs that may contain spyware (never had a good experience with them on my old a70) and was wondering what a good program is for downloading music and movies. i had bear share and it worked pretty well, but it had spyware on it. ive tried imesh, kazaa, soul seeker?, and bear share, with bear share coming out on top. if only there was no spyware on it. any suggestions? maybe im just being too paranoid?

Downloading some types of the media you described is considered piracy which is NOT promoted by NBR.com

I am gonna assume that you are getting legal stuff! For that, one of the best that I have used is Shareaza, no spyware or adware, it operates on the gnuttela network, which follows the GNU licensing and hence is open sourced (you can actually get the source code for the program if you want from there site and inspect for anything fishy :p)

Bittorent is one of the best as well, especially for large files (like Linux ISO's or *****, etc)

    eDonkey/eMule is also quite popular.

As Q stated, downloading of certain types of media files is piracy and is not condoned by NBR, let's keep the discussion legal please.
