Hiya all,
I'm a bit of an upstart with computing and need to request some help. I've been going through my system trying to keep it up-to-date. Along the way several drivers have alluded my attempt to do so. It's even dodged some of the members on the Clevo forum! Hopefully bringing it to the attention or everyone here will help. I'm looking for links to the following drivers which have alluded my searches:
* ICH9 Family USB Controllers (2934 -(to-) 2939)
* PCI Bridge - 2448
* Generic Bluetooth Radio(???)
In case anyone was wondering, I've been using both Driver Detective and Driveragent to make sure this laptop is up-to-date but I'm unsure how good they are. Does anyone know if these programs are accurate at all?
Grateful for any help, with possible 'rep' to those who provide the correct links

Yeah, using the OEM webpage is the only viable option if you don't know the exact names of the devices you use, accompanied by Windows Update (in Vista or 7) that would essentially update them afterwards.
-
You probably need the Intel Chipset drivers for the ICH9 Family USB Controllers.
As for the others you need to check with your vendors website for them. But if that doesn't help for some reason then as a last resort, what I do with some missing hardware is check the properties, copy the hardware ID and Google it and it may give you some answers on what drivers you need for the system.
Another tip is if the system only has Vista drivers and you want to run Windows 7, you can try and reuse the Vista drivers as some is backwards compatible (not ideal but it works sometimes). -

Thanks for the link Hearst555, but apparently I'm using version .1027 already and Intel only spplies version .1025 in that download. The sames goes for many downloads from some of the Clevo reseller sites I've tried for other drivers.
Windows Update has given me all the latest too. -
Easy, I didn't know earlier and as I said, I'm a newbie.
Aparently it's an 'M860ETU'. -
What Indrek said; If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Bad form to use a driver download site. You may install virus or Trojan files with the drivers. -
I will third drivers-if ain't broke don't try to fix/get trojans.
The exception being the video drivers. -
Secondly, if your always willing to accept your own responsibilities and understand what you are partaking in then the risk is more minimal in the face of the possibile improvement. Learning to take risks is a big part in advancing through life after all.
