Expand the device properties and look under Hardware ID. Search according to VEN and DEV values will tell you the device profile.

    cheers ...

Did you try to just check for updates from Microsoft after your install? I have a 9400 with Win7 as well. I do not recall any special difficulty in installing all drivers.

Interesting that you had no issue's, as I'm having the same issue as the O.P.

I can expand on this somewhat, what's missing is PCI bus 3, device 1, function 3

This is the graphics card, (Nvidia 7900 gs) I believe.

It's also relating to the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter as default by W7, rather than the "plug and play monitor" which is not detected, and cannot be selected so you can not install drivers for the Nvidia 7900 gs Video card.

I solved this problem when I reinstalled XP by disabling the default monitor, and selecting the "plug and play monitor" which allowed me to install the driver for the Nvidia 7900 gs Video card.

But in Windows 7 64bit, you cannot disable the default monitor as it does not show the "plug and play monitor", it seems to not detect it.

Thus you can't get the Nvidia 7900 gs Video card working in W7 64bit.

Greatly appreciate any help with this...

My Win7 32-bit NVIDIA driver is version 7.15.11.7967, dated 3/6/2009. I do not remember where i got it, but it's signed by Microsoft so it can't be a hacked driver.
