    well heres the situation
i my computer had been dual booting win xp and vista for a while now on two separate partitions. then just a few days ago i tried to load xp and it said it was corrupt and it could be because a recent hardware change. but i did not change anything. so i decided to re-install windows xp. when i reinstalled it i could no longer access vista in the boot loader. (i kno that its been over written by xp) but anyways i decided to do some research on how to install xp on a pre-installed vista, because they usually tell you how to fix vista in the boot loader, which is basically my situation. on the part of the guide of fixing vista in the boot loader, most of them say to boot from the vista disc then install>repair. but i tried that. vista wont boot from the disc at all. when i do that i just have a black screen with a white line blinking at the top left hand corner. then i tried to repair within xp. so i clicked on the vista disc in my computer and clicked install, but i could not find repair what so ever. it just led to another installation.
so can anyone help me out, or had a similar problem fixed?

You can repair Vista Bootloader from XP. Install SP2, .NET Framework 2.0, then EasyBCD. Run BCD, click Manage Bootloader. Select Reinstall the Vista Bootloader, then click write. Reboot and it should boot into Vista. From there you can install and run BCD. Click ADD/Remove Entries, and add an entry for XP and save it. Hope this help.
