I want to install fedora 6 with vista to create a dual boot system on my laptop. When I insert fedora 6 dvd it does not recognize the hdd.
What are the steps to be followed to install it properly. If it takes to remove vista and put XP I am ready to do so.

    -thanks.

It's probably something to do with the AHCI mode that XP also has problems recognizing. You have to get the AHCI/SATA drivers for Linux, though I don't know how the driver system works with Linux distros so I can't say much more than that.
