I am about to install my new 100g drive in my I9300. Was thinking of setting up both Linux and XP Pro. Has anyone done this and is it hard to do. I just want to play around with Linux and see how well it works. Is 100 gig enough sapce to do this and still have extra room for both to co-exist?

Hi meyers,
You need a dualboot. Your primary partition must be bootable (already is) and details about the linux and windows dualboot can be found on Internet. Each time you start your comp it will ask you what to boot.
The other way is to make a VirtualPC machine in Windows and install linux there. It is slower and emulated, but works. The easiest way if you have the Microsoft Virtual PC or that other program I cannot remember now.
I currently have XP and Vista beta2 on other partition. Vista automatically set up dualboot. Some linux instalations do that too. Be sure to check somewhere before you install.

Dual boot Linux and Windows Xp is not a hard task to do. I have Fedora 4 and Windows Xp coexist in my laptop.
My personal experience with Fedora 4 is that the setup is extremly easy. You
don't actually need to know much about the Linux just to setup the system.
I have also installed Suse OSS before. Again, the installation was a breeze.
I am not sure which Linux distro you like to choose, but in general the setup process won't take you longer than setuping windows system.
