    Dual boot on one Hdd?

    is it possible to dual boot xp 32 bit and vista 64 bit on one hdd? if so how do i do it?
    If its not possible can i install a os on my WD external Hdd?

    Yes its possible. Just partition your hard drive into two.

    anyway u could tell me where the partition is under vista i cant find it?

    what about installing the os to a 8 gb flash drive is that possible?

    Partitions are somewhere under "device manager" (german OS son I can't give you the whole path)

    About the flash drive:
    It may not be possible if your flash drive only supports FAT32 and no NTFS.
    Then - your flash drive is too slow - XP will take ages to load

    You can try an external HDD if you want - but I can't see the sense of that, as you OS will be "bound" to the computer you used to instal it on..

    if you buy yourself a laptop hard drive and caddy that you work like a charm and load as a nice quick speed :)
