My boyfriend has a system that primary runs openSUSE, and dual-boots to Windows Vista. He almost never uses Windows, and as I'm not familiar with Vista, we're kind of stuck on what seems to be a simple problem.

Basically, whenever he boots into Windows Vista, the wireless capability is turned off. He has to click "diagnose and repair", which tells him the wireless capability is turned off. After he turns it on, it automatically connects to his network, and there is no further issue.

He's wanting to know how he can get the wireless capability to stay turned on, so that he doesn't have to repair the connection every single time he boots into Windows. He leaves it on when he reboots into Linux, but whenever he comes back to Windows it's always turned off.

should be a BIOS setting that has the wifi card on or off by default. however, it usually saves the last setting so if logged of Vista with the card ON, then it should be ON when he goes back into vista.

does the computer have a key combo or switch to turn the card on/off?
