Easy way for factory restore of 8.1 these days?

Basically, I have a new machine. It has a HDD and an empty m.2 slot.

I'm gonna buy a m.2 drive and I want to run the factory restore to install win 8.1 on it.
    - I don't care about the bloatware so I don't need a clean install.
    - I also don't want to just copy and resize the existing partition on the current HDD to the SSD.

What are my options? The laptop doesn't have an optical drive and didn't come with any restore software. It's Lenovo and there is a "OneKey Recovery" folder on a Lenovo partition but I'm unfamiliar with that software.

Back in the old days I could probably boot into a restore and just run the restore to the new drive in the bay that was never used, but things have changed, I'm old. I don't know enough about UEFI BIOS and Win 8.1 to just "do stuff".

Sorry if this is the dumbest question for the month of September...

    No replies. I feel dumb.

Anyways, there is a built in restore but it's pre-configured and won't allow me to change the destination drive. So even if I get a new m.2 drive and it's detected in the BIOS, I still can't select it.
