How can I edit the name in the red square? I just want to remove the 3- infront of it.
Thank you.

There is no straight forward way to do that. That description is usually taken from the driver inf file at the install time, if you edit the inf file’s driver description and reinstall, it should change. What exactly is that device ? A USB , wireless or BT headset ?
It should also be stored somewhere in the registry, but leave it as it is. Changing registry values without knowing what they mean could lead to some serious problems. -
I had some serious trouble making Dell 355 Bluetooth work, but I'm stubborn and it's working now. So this is my Jabra BT500v headset - it installed some additional drivers so it can work, but after way too many installs it happens to be "3-". Before that was "2-" and right at the beginning was with no number infront.
I believe the current name is like that, cause of the number of installs. I just want to reset it, like it has been installed for first time, so no number in front.
Is it that difficult?
