I found a very useful utility. I do not take credit for creating it, but would like to mention what it can do. I use it to effectively elimintate all non-essential processes. This is very useful for clearing up virtually all system usage before running an intensive application. It alows for smoother running of any intensive application. This is not like anything that tries to do the same thing. It is on the next level, very effective. If anyone is interested, I can post the link.

Glad to see the positive response :), and Tim the software is not buggy at all. Just run with the parameters '-all' to kill all processes. It is overly-cautious with a display prompt before and after each elimination. After running with the parameters, I just hold down enter and let 'er go to town! It does have the ability to shut down an individual process, using a different set of parameters (double-click exe for details), but what is the fun of that? Please note, file is micro-small (32kb). It will download in a blink of an eye. I can't seem to find it available for download on an sites, so here she is:

    http://home.satx.rr.com/nhuth/KillWind.exe (Right-click, 'save as')

LICENSE INFORMATION: I don't own the rights of distribution on this one, so pass it around as you deem fit.

    Example of 'parameters': "C:\ Folder\ Folder\KillWind.exe" -all

To set parameters, either use the 'Run' command, or set the crudentials into the 'Target' field in the properties of a shortcut to the program. Please note, you can not set the parameters to the original program itself.

ooo cool... well, enditall is also great, with a gui to boot so you can lock/unlock programs that you dont want to be killed

But last time I heard you needed a pcmag subscription, there are still some copies out there floating free tho :)

Kind of strange... its actually freeware, but PCMag charges for the download... not for licensing, but just to have access for download.

    Here's the article from pcmag..

    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1554267,00.asp

Its a great article, and Im not hosting the program myself.. I just found a place to dl it... if anyone's interested for a link outside of pcmag, just pm me

Well I scaned it before running lol. But I trust you because of your sig. You have a lot of Christian bands in your top 5 artist. Therefore I believe you wont try to kill our computers(sorry a little off topic lol). Although you might just like Christian bands, but I believe you would be ethical.
