    Hi all,

I recently upgraded my XPS 16 to Windows 8 (64 bit)
I installed the touch driver (for the pad and media controls)
Everything works 100% except for the DVD drive eject button
    Anyone knows anything about this?

I installed the latest driver I could find on Dell through my service tag. It didn't say Windows 8 but:
    1) nothing else did
    2) everything IS working except eject

Oh, and it did work before when I had Windows 7

I'll be happy to get any help, it's really annoying

    Thanks!!!

Will it respond when you hit the eject button before loading Windows? Or, does it eject if you go into Computer, right click on the drive, and select Eject from the context menu? Windows reinstall should not cause the drive to not respond to ejecting from the button; sounds [unfortunately] coincidental.

Push comes to shove: there is a pinhole on the drive where you can insert a paperclip (or something equally as small) to eject the drive manually. Insert it gently and push until the drive ejects.
